Located in the heart of the village of Saint-Julien-Chapteuil in the Haute-Loire, Maison Vidal is a family-run establishment that has been handed down from generation to generation since 1954.
Chef Aurélien Vidal inherited his passion for cooking from his grandparents and parents, but also from the mentors under whom he trained.
Passing on this passion is at the heart of what he does, and his desire to share, a defining trait of the man he is.
Whether you're a lover of good food, a beginner or an aficionado, chef Aurélien Vidal invites you to share his kitchen for the space of a few hours.
In the company of his wife and pastry chef, Aurélie Vidal, or members of his team, he welcomes you behind the scenes of his fine dining and bistronomic establishment.
With good humour and a clear approach to teaching, he shares his tips and little secrets for making a dish that is as attractive as it is mouthwatering.
In groups of 10 to 12 people, you will take part in a class lasting 3 to 4 hours.
With one themed class a month, you can choose from a number of different recipes or complete menus throughout the year, including chef Vidal’s renowned pâté en croûte, awarded the bronze medal several times over at the Pâté-Croûte World Championship.
At the end of this fun and decidedly gourmet afternoon, you'll be invited to sample your creations around the table in a fun and friendly atmosphere.
