Saint-Julien-Chapteuil
Located just 15km from Le Puy-en-Velay, between Lyon and Clermont-Ferrand, Maison Vidal is an ideal gourmet stop-off point for exploring the Pays des Sucs. The village of Saint-Julien-Chapteuil provides superb access to the Meygal massif, the perfect setting for cross-country skiing and forest walks. The village is also just a few kilometres from the Monts d'Ardèche Nature Park.
Saint-Julien-Chapteuil is home to a medieval past, the remains of which can still be admired, in particular the castle ruins on the Suc de Chapteuil.
The village is also the birthplace of French poet and writer, Jules Romains, whose life and work you can discover in the small museum devoted to him on the first floor of the tourist office.

By car:
From Le Puy-en-Velay
• Join the N88 towards the D150 at Saint-Germain-Laprade/Fay La Triouleyre,
• Take exit D150,
• Head towards the D15,
• Join Avenue Jules Romains on the D15,
• Enter Saint-Julien-Chapteuil,
• Maison Vidal is on the right.
By train:
The station of Puy-en-Velay is around 15km from Maison Vidal.
It is served by local TER Auvergne-Rhône Alpes trains, which provide connections to Lyon-Part-Dieu, Lyon-Perrache and Clermont-Ferrand.
Free parking is available directly opposite Maison Vidal, on the Place du Marché in Saint-Julien-Chapteuil.

Open at lunchtime from Tuesday to Friday. Closed evenings, Sundays, Mondays and public holidays.
Opening hours of La Table Gastronomique:
Open at lunchtime from Tuesday to Sunday and in the evening from Thursday through to Saturday. Closed on Mondays.
